The Walther CCP (Concealed Carry Pistol) was designed as the ideal combination of style, ergonomics, size and shape for concealed carry. The new Walther SOFTCOIL gas-delayed blowback action works to make the CCP an excellent firearm for concealed carry.

The SOFTCOIL gas-delayed blowback action uses gas pressures from the ignited cartridge by directing it through a port in the barrel to slow down and delay the rearward motion of the slide. A piston contained in the cylinder located beneath the barrel opposes the rearward motion of the slide until the gas pressure has declined after the bullet has left the barrel, allowing the slide to end its rearward motion, opening the breech, and ejecting the empty cartridge case.

The SOFCOIL Technology:

1. Allows the slide to be easily manipulated to chamber a round
2. Barrel rise is reduced up to one third lease than similar pistols
3. Decreased barrel rise helps you to remain focused to accurately hit your target shot after shot.
