The 6.5 PRC is an excellent cartridge for both long range shooting and hunting. Its increased case capacity enables velocities up to 80 m/s or 262 fps faster than the 6.5 Creedmoor or 6,555 SE.

By design, the 6.5 PRC cartridge case features a longer throat enabling the use of todays popular, high ballistic coefficient, or HBC projectiles for long-range competitions. For reloading, the 6.5 PRC case is a good match with relatively slow burning rifle powder types.
