Cold Hammer Forged Stainless Steel Barrel.

This 9mm pistol is striker-fired with a 3.7-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel. It handles standard 12+1 and 15+1 capacity and has the capability to accept all higher capacity FN 509 magazines. The new improved texturing on the two included backstraps provides better recoil management, and a new flatter faced trigger enhances trigger control with a cleaner break. This FN pistol also features a striker-fired autoloader, double-action operation and fully ambidextrous controls.

Polymer Construction With Replaceable Steel Frame Rails.

The 509C features polymer construction with replaceable steel frame rails, shortened grip for easier concealment, enhanced grip textures which enables faster follow-up shots in all conditions, and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory mounting rail. An improved flatter face trigger and fully ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release are also featured along with all-black co-witness iron sights, external extractor, loaded chamber indicator and improved front and rear cocking serrations.
