The Talon was purpose-built to bring the lightweight features of the Backountry 2.0 family into the Vanguard line-up.It features Peak 44's Blacktooth carbon fiber stock which weighs only 19oz making it one of the lightest production stocks on the market.

The Weatherby Vanguard Talon features a powerful .300 Wthby Mag chambering, 24" Tungsten Cerakote threaded barrel, and a carbon fiber stock with fixed Peak 44 Blacktooth, accented with green and white sponge. Equipped with a drilled and tapped steel receiver, this rifle is designed for superior performance and precision in hunting and shooting.

To back this up, all Vanguards are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99 or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA) from a cold barrel when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition.The Vanguard Talon a 3-position safety, two-stage match grade trigger and fluted bolt body.

All Vanguards have a one-piece machined bolt body and a fully enclosed bolt sleeve.They also sport an integral recoil lug and hinged floorplate.
